There is nothing to install. Open ILX Connection in your browser, sign in, and your projects are right where you left them.

Projects

Projects keep your work organized. Each project holds its connections, its own title block, and its settings. Every connection is listed by its mark, with a clear status, so you can see at a glance what is done and what still needs work. Search by mark, project or client, and pin the ones you use most.

The new connection wizard

To start a new connection, open the wizard. It helps you through the design one step at a time. First, pick the kind of connection: a plate, an angle, a seated connection, a tee, a moment connection, a splice, a base plate, and many more.

Then choose the details and the members from the built-in steel shapes. Enter the loads, and ILX Connection can size the connection for you.

Design

The editor shows your inputs, the results and the drawings side by side. Change the bolts, the plate or the welds, and everything updates right away. The drawings are to scale, so you always see exactly what you are designing.

Work in load and resistance factor design or allowable strength design, in US or metric units, and switch at any time.

Checks

Every strength check is listed in plain language, with the required strength, the available strength, and the code reference. When a connection does not work, the failed checks are one click away, so you know exactly what to change.

Drawing sheet

When the design is done, print a drawing sheet with your own title block. It shows the elevation and the plan, with dimensions, bolts and welds, on the sheet size you choose.

Calculation report

The calculation report walks through every check, step by step, with the code references. It starts with a clear summary, and you decide how much detail to include. Your firm and project information appear on every page, ready to review and submit.

DXF drawing

Need the geometry in your CAD software? Export a DXF drawing with one click, with clean layers for the members, bolts, welds and dimensions.
